With the emotions still raw, we share the events of Monday the 9th of August, the day when Cartier reopened its boutique in Palma de Mallorca. The maison’s shop relocated from the Jaime III avenue in the Balearic capital to the Plaza de Cort in the city centre. The enthusiasm of the Fuster family, who have run the Cartier space since it arrived at Mallorca in 1987, grows with the setting up of their newest shop location. Those attending the reopening enjoyed the experience tinged with a Majorcan flavour that still maintains Cartier’s essence intact. The same that Louis-François Cartier created back in 1847, and that Plaza de Cort number 12 is spreading from this Monday onward.

A privileged environment in tune with Cartier’s style

It is a privilege to be able to relocate in this spot in the city centre, just opposite Palma City Hall. And in the Can Tous building, no less, designed by Gaspar Bennassar; a place with great architectural value. The fusion of beauty and character of the Can Tous building adapts perfectly to the high jewellery brand.
The day began at 9:30: a breakfast with the press served by the Cappuccino hotel, which, beside the Cort, is in the same square. Throughout the day, cultural life was palpable, as well as buzz created by the proximity of the most alluring monuments in the city.
In the afternoon, from 19:00, the shop hosted the inauguration cocktail, attended by important personalities from Palma, such as Simoneta Gómez-Acebo, Drew Aaron, Hana Soukupova, Ilona Novackova, Mercedes Fuentes, Lluisa Llull or María Juan de Sentmenat, among others. This event in the Cartier shop in Palma had a cocktail created and served by the Brass Club. Thanks to Rafa Martín and his team, it was possible to enjoy these drinks inspired by Cartier’s Rivières perfumes, where the stars are the scents from nature.
Throughout the week, clients and friends who want to discover the boutique in person will be able to do so with an appointment. That way, they will be able to walk around the 160 square metres dedicated to showing the exclusive high jewellery and watchmaking designs achieved with the brand’s savoir-faire.

New Cartier concept with a Majorcan flavour

Each Cartier boutique has its own style. But it also adapts to its surroundings. This is why there is a Majorcan flavour to the decoration in the shop, with neutral colours, local flowers and original artisanal pieces.
The exclusivity of the French brand, as well as their great taste, live in perfect harmony with Mallorca’s nature. This was something that those in attendance could perceive in Cartier’s new shop in Palma when it reopened.
A visit to the new location is like a trip to the ocean, starting at the ground floor, in the depths of the feminine universe. There one can find the shop’s Prestige area. The vibrant colours give way to the stairwell and the Lounge zone, leading towards the surface. The light and the breeze coming from the Mediterranean Sea are the hosts of the first floor, which embraces Cartier’s new concept. This is the innovative formula the brand has used to combine local expertise and tradition with femininity and modernity. Here one can find the Accessories, Unisex and Diamonds areas. The boutique has a very Majorcan-inspired VIP area for exclusive and special event.
