New Cartier Masse Mystérieuse watch
Watches and Wonders 2022 has just taken place. It is the most important watchmaking event in the world, where the leading brands of fine watchmaking present their latest creations in Geneva, Switzerland.
The great expectation of this year, which has returned to the face-to-face format, brings us the latest novelties from brands of the Richemont Group, as well as Rolex, Patek Philippe, Tudor and some brands of the LVMH group.
In Relojeria Alemana, official retailer of the main brands, we bring you the details of an edition where sustainability, mastery in the use of materials and lots of color have prevailed.

Cartier revives one of its most special Tank models

This year, the Tank Louis Cartier watch is presented with monochromatic dials: red, the emblematic color of the Maison, and anthracite gray, a shade taken from the Cartier watchmaking palette. Completely redesigned in 2021 to be as similar as possible to the Tank Louis Cartier, the 2022 edition of the Tank Must features an all-black dial.
Through its Cartier Privé collection, the Maison brings back the Tank Chinoise, which pays tribute to the architecture of Chinese temples and the geometry of their porticoes.
The Pasha de Cartier Grille is once again the protagonist. A reference watch which grid makes it even more unique, because it reinforces the strong graphic signature of the watch, the square inside the circle and the four oversized Arabic numerals on which it sits and marks. The Pasha de Cartier Moonphase, Skeleton and Flying Tourbillon watches feature three emblematic movements.
The Coussin de Cartier watch forms a square edged with a spiral of diamonds, with stones of different diameters accentuating the sense of the movement and underlining its charm.

A model for adventurers, the Tudor Black Bay Pro is here

Building on its reputation for creating iconic models chosen by the most daring adventurers, Tudor this year introduces the Black Bay Pro, a completely new model with dual time zone function.
On the Black Bay line, the iconic Black Bay GMT model is also available in an S&G (Steel & Gold) version with warm colors and a nostalgic touch, and new versions of the Black Bay Chrono S&G and the Tudor Royal line are presented.
Tudor also presents the Black Bay 31, 36, 39 and 41 S&G models, with a curved design in steel and gold and Manufacture Calibers.

2022 is the year of the TOP GUN collection at IWC. In addition to the launch of the new "Lake Tahoe" and "Woodland" editions in white and green ceramic, respectively, IWC will also complete its TOP GUN collection with two new models in Ceratanium® and black ceramic.

Hublot stands out at Watches and Wonders for its new square shape and integral ceramics

Hublot presents its own interpretation of the square watch, a totally new geometry for the brand. Inspired by the house icon, the Big Bang, the Square Bang Unico incorporates a new pillar, "The Shaped Collection", alongside the Spirit of Big Bang.
The brand brings four new models of Big Bang Integral Ceramic in its element, which they define as integral for its monobloc architecture with bracelet integrated into the case, for its ceramic monomaterial and for its four new monochrome colors: indigo blue, sky blue, sand beige and jungle green.
After five years of collaboration, Hublot and Richard Orlinski unveil the missing link in their joint collection: a series of watches equipped with a new metal strap that evokes the facets of the famous sculptures of the French artist. As a finale, Hublot culminates a new stage in the art of sapphire with the Big Bang Automatic Tourbillon Purple Sapphire.

Jaeger-LeCoultre and its particular stellar odyssey

Jaeger-LeCoultre celebrates the link between cosmic phenomena, the origins of time measurement and watchmaking innovation in what it is called a stellar odyssey. With it, you can travel through the history of time and discover the new watches inspired in the sky.

Master Hybris Mechanica with Calibre 945

This star map complication, introduced in the caliber 945, indicates the passage of sidereal time instead of civil time, representing the link of the human being with the cosmos directly on the dial in a literal and captivatingly beautiful way. For 2022, Jaeger-LeCoultre has created two new aesthetic interpretations of the caliber 945.

Master Grande Tradition with Calibre 948

The rotation of the Earth has also always fascinated watchmakers, and this year they capture it in a new and luxurious interpretation of the Grande Maison's universal time caliber: the Master Grande Tradition watch with caliber 948.

Rendez-Vous and the unpredictable stars

This new complication, conceived and manufactured entirely in the Manufacture, seems to defy the laws of watchmaking, and reconciles a spectacle that occurs randomly with the rhythms of mathematical precision that govern the movement of a mechanical watch. In line with the ephemeral beauty of shooting stars, this new complication has been created especially for the Rendez-Vous collection, where it makes its first appearance in 2022.

Polaris and perpetual calendar

In 2022, Jaeger-LeCoultre introduces for the first time a perpetual calendar in the Polaris line, enriching the collection with one of the most complex, useful and valued watch collections. A perpetual calendar is a miniature mechanism that always displays the correct date, automatically adjusting to the length of months and even leap years.

Racing spirit now adds new technology at Tag Heuer

The Tag Heuer Carrera Plasma is the new bet of Tag Heuer, a revolutionary watch that presents the new innovative technology Diamant d'Avant-garde and a disruptive design. This technical disruption is a new way to master the design and the play of light through the material. In addition, the versatility of laboratory-developed diamonds provides unlimited creativity.
The Carrera collection opens a new chapter in TAG Heuer and Porsche's joint venture, with a limited edition inspired by Porsche's racing yellow.
The brand also updates its Aquaracer line with the Tag Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Solagraph model, the brand's first watch powered by sunlight, a watch with exceptional quality and performance. The new Tag Heuer Aquaracer Professional 1000 Superdiver incorporates a water resistance of 1000 meters. Finally, the brand launches a new watch with a vibrant look inspired by the orange 844 diving reference, the Tag Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Orange Diver.

Creativity, modernity and sophistication in the new Baume et Mercier creations

The new 42 mm Riviera men's variations rewrite the present with their own unique imprint. These carefully crafted sporty models perpetuate Baume & Mercier's expertise in design and concern for form through uncompromising style.
As for the women's line, this year, Baume & Mercier's "sport-chic" icon breaks away from convention to display its unique style. Serene or tousled, with or without gem-setting, the Riviera traces its route and chooses its destination. It displays the Côte d'Azur on the dial, decorates its bezel with diamonds or colors itself with a sophisticated blush pink. The Riviera has fun to give pleasure to watchmaking lovers.
The iconic Classima presents a new look where khaki takes pride of place, with a versatile palette that ranges from sandy beige to olive green and exhibits a natural air that adapts to all styles. These two timeless colors omnipresent in classic elegance are a must-have for this season.
The Hampton collection revisits the bracelet with a tightly woven Milanese mesh in polished and satin-finished steel that fits impeccably on the wrist. Everyone is seduced by this retro look where Art Deco and Italian craftsmanship meet.

Chanel updates a classic that never fails, its iconic J12.

The new J12 Tourbillon Diamond Calibre 5 is its latest creation, set with a solitaire diamond that rotates to the rhythm of the seconds, presents graphic lines and is equipped with the first Tourbillon movement manufactured exclusively for the Maison: the Calibre 5. A visible mechanism with an impeccable finish and adorned with a lion's head, the emblem of CHANEL's watchmaking and jewelry creations.
In highly resistant white or black ceramic and steel, the J12 33 mm is now equipped with the Caliber 12.2, a new automatic movement manufactured exclusively for CHANEL. A miniaturized motorization with re-tuned components to guarantee its unique performance.

The "Sound of Eternity" trio by Chopard

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the popular L.U.C collection, Chopard presents a trio of new timepieces with monobloc sapphire crystal sonnerie and the gong system. It includes the L.U.C Strike One, L.U.C Full Strike Sapphire and L.U.C Full Strike Tourbillon models, created under the direction of Chopard co-president Karl-Friedrich Scheufele and conducted by virtuoso cellist and violinist Gautier and Renaud Capuçon.
With the Alpine Eagle Flying Tourbillon, Chopard welcomes its first complication watch bearing the Poinçon de Genève hallmark of quality, courtesy of the innovative flying tourbillon movement inside.
The elegant Happy Sport Chrono, with an elaborate chronograph complication, impresses from the very first moment. Sporty by nature and ethical in essence, it features seven moving diamonds swirling around its elegant dial, framed by a case made entirely of rose gold or a steel and rose gold version.

Zenith expands its Chronomaster collection

The first collection of chronographs with a partially open dial that reveals the heart of the movement returns with a new shape. The Chronomaster Open is manufactured with revised proportions in a 39.5 mm case and with an even larger opening on the dial.
The Chronomaster Sport is the culmination of more than 50 years of mastery of the automatic sports chronograph. Equipped with the latest generation of El Primero, it measures and indicates elapsed time to an accuracy of 1/10th of a second in a contemporary yet unmistakably Zenith design.
It combines emblematic elements from previous Zenith chronograph references, such as the tricolor dial, pump-style pushers and steel bracelet with a black ceramic bezel, all in modern and sporty proportions.
These and many other Watches and Wonders novelties will soon be available at Relojería Alemana, official retailer of the most emblematic watch brands in Mallorca.
